Syndicates

Each city can have a single crime syndicate in control of it. All properties within their location will be a percentage of their income in protection. This percentage is dictated by the syndicate.

Additionally, for players in a syndicate, the diplomatic status of their syndicate with the local syndicate will make life much easier, or much harder, for the players.

Syndicate members in their home territory will receive the best treatment, those who are in syndicates allied to the home syndicate will receive favourable treatment, those without syndicate membership will be treated less favourably, and those in syndicates at war with the local syndicate will find themselves injured and jailed at almost every opportunity.
